I just received my February Glambox! So excited every time I got this beauty-in-a-box. My husband knows exactly what to give to me ;) This was one of his gifts for me last Valentine's day - and I will be receiving a box each month until April :) yey!

I like planning things ahead, especially in travelling or working for an event. Yup, I'm a little control freak. But I guess sometimes, unplanned trips are the ones that turn out pretty well.

The weather from the past weeks were really unpredictable. One day it's freezing cold, one day it's humid, and then other days were raining and the worst was sand storm. So obviously, it's difficult for me to plan ahead for a road trip. My husband just told me that, if the weather is fine on a Friday morning, then we go. And that's it! The weather was perfect so we traveled early to Dubai and went straight to Dubai Miracle Garden.

Dubai Miracle Garden is a man-made flower garden which showcases a wide variety of different flowers that are arranged in different shapes. It only opens during winter here in UAE. The landscapes were superb and the bright lively colors are really breathtaking.

We've visited Dubai Miracle Garden in 2014 which I posted in my previous post. I look tired then because I shoot my brother and my sister-in-law's pre-nuptial photos.

No, we don't have a photographer. I just brought my camera tripod and set it on a timer. And since I'm the one who suggested for our photo shoot, I was a little exhausted setting the camera and running for a nice pose. My DSLR camera was not compatible with a wireless remote so I have to rely on my camera timer :( Plus I have to asked people not to photobomb on our pictures.

This is a pair of footwear that is certainly must have. They're pretty comfortable, the soles are pretty flat so I inserted silicone arch under my heels for support.

I'm not OOTD (outfit of the day) kind of girl, although I work for a fashion company, I'm not so kinky when it comes to dress-up. I'm more MUOTD (make up of the day) but since it's currently in trend and I guess having such classic sneakers is a smart thing to keep. Besides, wearing these shoes can be paired with shorts, jeans or even dress.

I've only worn mine for few times; the first time I wore them was in office, and the funny thing is that my boss was wearing exactly the same. Yes, we ended up like we were modeling Stan Smith sneakers for the day.

It was a bit difficult to find it at the moment since like what I've said, it is currently the trend, so everyone wants it. Fortunately, I found it in Adidas Factory Outlet here in Abu Dhabi, and I've got the last pair of my size. They were selling it like hotcakes! Well, lucky me, I got mine ;)

Doing my makeup in the morning is really something I struggle everyday. Yes, I'm so lazy to wake up early that I have to be skillful enough to do my daily fix as quick as possible. I just normally put on BB cream, do my perfectly arched eyebrows and lipstick, and that's it! But today, since I woke up a little early, I had sometime to add up little colors on my face than the usual.

On my clean face, I put on moisturizer. After few minutes, I put on evenly BB Cream all over my face and a little on my neck. I've brushed on a little powder to cover shiny effect on my skin. I've brushed on a little contouring powder on my cheekbones, jawlines and nose lines. And a added a little rosy shade on my cheeks.

For my eyes, I've worked on with my brows using brown and dark brown pencil shades; then for my eyeshadow, I put on a shimmer of very light pink (H&M) as base and dark brown shade on the outer corners and on the crease of my eyes to achieve a soft smoky effect. Office lighting was OK, but my first photo above has a better lighting from my vanity table ;) lol

Before applying makeup, always start with this routine - clean face, moisturizer, primer and let your skin rest for a while before putting makeup.

My today's valentine makeup mood is with bold-dark colors in my eyeshadow and light shiny touch on my lips. I used very light shimmery pink as base, black thick pencil on my lids and spreading it to the my eye crease using brush to achieve smokey effect. I then topped it with dark purple eyeshadow, plus on my lower lash line. I put a little touch shimmer pink on the inner corner to make it a little softer.And to volumize my lashes, I've used a black mascara.

I've used the gleam highlighter on the apples of my cheeks, while I used high beam highlighter on my cupid's bow (top center of your upper lip) and to the inner corners of my eyes.

To neutralize my dark eyeshadow, I've used nude color on my lips and lip gloss.

Getting ready for the upcoming V-Day look? Here's how I did my first trial last weekend. I was in the mood to have a romantic, soft yet polished makeup. And I guess it turned out to be what I exactly wanted.

Taking enough time in preppin' for your makeup on Valentine's day is perfectly OK. Besides, it's is a special day you'll spend with your boyfriend, husband or with friends. It's a night to enjoy!

So OK, just do the usual make-up starters - clean face, moisturizer, primer and let your skin rest for a while before putting makeup.

I used neutral colors in my eyeshadow - white as a base, plus a touch of peachy-bronze and medium brown shades. To make it a little dramatic, I've used false eyelashes, black liquid pen eyeliner to achieve a winged lines and soft coffee shade on my under eye color. And to volumize my lashes, I've used a black mascara.

I am obsessed with this stuff! It moisturize my skin because I easily get dry skin for being in a air-conditioned room all day; however, I am also on the go and I want something I can just spray on and get dressed. So easy to apply and light to use on your skin. It absorbs fast and doesn't have too strong smell. The price is a bit high for the size, but since there's a nice discount at a local store for Cocoa Radiant variant, I decide to have a try.

The spray bottle looks just like a deodorant bottle. When you press the nozzle, the lotion dispensed a continuous thin mist of white fluid. The texture of the lotion is thinner than the regular Vaseline lotions, but still creamy enough to be moisturizing. After it is sprayed, you only need to rub it in a couple of times.

I highly recommend this spray for on-the-go girls like me, who doesn't have much time to put on greasy lotion and and takes extra effort and time to evenly apply it all over your body. Although a bit pricey, I guess it is still worth it.

I only enjoy big SALE here in UAE if it includes makeup. I'm not much of a spender when it comes to shoes or dresses but makeup is another story. My husband knows it very well, so whenever there's a sale, he's the first one to inform me. Yes, I know, I'm a spoiled brat when it comes to anything kikay ;)

Drugstore products are my best buddies and one of the best products I personally tried was NYX Cosmetics. I first discovered how great the brand was when I purchased their matte natural lipstick. I really enjoyed the color and the texture. I have many other natural color lipstick and lip liners from NYX but my recent purchase were something different. It will be my first time to use NYX foundation and liquid highlighter. I also bought soft matte cream lipstick in bright red (Monte Carlo) which is new color from my line of neutral colors NYX lippies.

This is natural shade and just perfect for my complexion. It is indeed matte, so a good moisturizer was a great help in blending it perfectly on my normal-dry skin. It is a medium coverage but lasted for almost 8 hours, which is good enough for me, except for some oiliness on my t-zone. It feels light and looks very natural.

I personally love this liquid illuminator. It is very lightweight and the golden peachy color is just a perfect natural shade for me. I typically put very small amount on the bridge of my nose and above the cheek bones, and because this illuminator has just enough shimmer it doesn't make me look oily after sometime. Just a natural glow effect for my makeup finishing.

Yes, I'm a big fan of red matte lipsticks, and I was so happy that I finally found this shade in NYX soft matte cream. It lasted for hours and didn't dry my lips. It only started to fade after having lunch but otherwise it stays for a long time. Although the color in the tube is darker than the actual, it is still a very nice shade of red. The taste is fine and the texture is soft, creamy-matte. This is definitely an A+ for me!

Here's a quick office makeup I've done using NYX liquid matte foundation in natural shade, bright red lippy using Monte Carlo soft matte lip cream and finished with a touch of shimmer using NYX Liquid Illuminator.
